VILD ART STUDIO *

A person sitting outdoors on a white chair, wearing a horse mask, with a table in front of them holding art supplies and a teapot. There is a second small table with a teapot and a decorative item near their feet, in a backyard with grass, a green house, and garden beds.

Surreal murals, illustration, stickers, prints, and wearable art inspired by nature, skate culture, comics, and dreamlike storytelling.

Top-down view of Dale Krause drawing on a large sheet of paper at a cluttered wooden desk, wearing a black beanie and plaid shirt, with art supplies around.

“howdy, i’m dale krause.”

Dale Krause works under the name VILD, creating pieces that sit somewhere between instinct and intention. His work often begins without a fixed plan, guided instead by small observations - objects, textures, or moments that feel slightly out of place.

His visual language is shaped by a mix of influences, including tattoo culture, early experiences with graffiti, and the DIY energy of the skateboarding scene. What began as sneaking out to tag trains and under-bridges eventually evolved into larger-scale murals and commissioned work, while illustration and design continue to inform his approach to composition and linework.

Rather than forcing a clear meaning, he allows each piece to develop until it settles on its own terms. The result is a body of work that feels familiar at first but shifts the longer it’s experienced.

VILD serves as a space for that process - where simple ideas are followed far enough to become something else.

i’m open to commissions, murals, or whatever makes sense to you
